How will you be assessed?

You will need to produce:

  • Practice analysis one: Write up a paired observation with your coaching partner (500 words).
  • Practice analysis two: Produce a case example of work with a child/young person’s family to address challenging behaviour in the context of home and school (2,000 words).
  • Practice analysis three: Put together an evaluated intervention in relation to communication (1,000 words).
  • Reflective analysis one: Deliver a reflective journal that is related to the work that you have carried out with a child/young person where other agencies were actively involved (1,500 words).
  • Reflective analysis two: Demonstrate how your assessment, intervention and monitoring of a child/young person has been carried out through a diary and curriculum plans.

Where indicated by your tutor, you may submit multimedia resources that you have produced within your applied practice as part of your final portfolio of evidence.

You will get the most out of this module if you work in an education setting with children, young people or adults.

Or do you require access to an education setting?

You will need to get written permission from a senior member of staff to regularly access a setting. We will show you the best way to do this, enabling you to carry out our learning activities in your chosen setting.
