The courses are now available via our proprietary virtual learning environment, Campus Online, and are free to access for anyone who works in early years education in England, including SENCOs, educators and childminders.
Dingley’s Promise has developed the course with additional content from partners Contact, Speech and Language UK, Coram PACEY, nasen and the National Children’s Bureau. Aside from designing the interactive digital experience, experts from Real Group also contributed case studies and audio interviews captured from early years settings.
The SEND CPD will allow staff to use age-appropriate inclusive practices from day one.
It is broken into three areas:
Foundations of Inclusive Practice
Embedding Inclusive Practice
Parent Partnerships
Included within these topics are crucial themes for all educators, such as the graduated approach, early identification and action, adaptive teaching and an ‘inclusive by design’ curriculum, modifying the learning environment and supporting transitions.
We are delighted that our platform and instructional design expertise are supporting this important training, which features over 20 hours of self-paced content, including reflective activities, practical strategies and case studies to develop practitioners’ inclusive approach.
