Siobhan is an HCPC registered, Chartered Educational Psychologist. She joined Real Training at its inception, and co-founded it’s parent company, Real Group, alongside Mark Turner. She is now Director of Pedagogy and Learning (PEDaL) for Real Training.

Siobhan excels in developing effective operational systems and teams and is currently responsible for leading;

  • the 3D team that design our course virtual learning environments, create the multi-media content and help bring our subject matter experts’ content to life in a virtual learning environment
  • the academic teams that create the course content and tutor on the Masters programmes and the CPD and professional courses, including our professional compliance team who ensure we adhere to the expectations and requirements of our extensive number of awarding and regulatory bodies
  • the professional services teams such as our educational psychologists that work directly in schools and our Dyslexia Guild team, the membership body for specialist teachers of Dyslexia, and wider support teams for learners in FE/HE with additional learning needs

Siobhan started her career as a primary school teacher and went on to train as an educational psychologist at the Tavistock Clinic in London. As a respected and experienced educational psychologist with over twenty-five years’ of experience she has worked extensively with children and young people in mainstream and special schools in Medway and Kent local authorities. Siobhan has worked collaboratively with SENCOs and teachers in mainstream and special schools to support whole-school systems and interventions for pupils with SEND. Siobhan has also worked as part of a multi-disciplinary ASD assessment team with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. 

Siobhan continues to work as one of the practising EPs within our Real Psychology service, delivering psychological assessment and interventions in mainstream schools within Kent and within a specialist secure education setting. 

She is a Member of the Education and Training board of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of the Accreditation Board of the British Dyslexia Association. 

Siobhan completed her Doctorate in Educational Psychology at UCL in 2021 on online pedagogy for teacher professional development.
