We are delighted to announce that our Safeguarding AI course has been shortlisted for the School Business and Procurement category in the 2024 Teach Secondary Awards!
We’re thrilled that our new course, developed in partnership with Educate Ventures Research, have been recognised, alongside our commitment to equip schools with the knowledge and tools required to implement AI safely and responsibly.
The results will be announced in November.
Our Safeguarding AI for Leaders (SAIL) course is designed for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) or other leaders in your setting with responsibility for safeguarding, pastoral care and/or technology implementation and use. This comprehensive course equips participants to develop and implement robust AI safeguarding policies, procedures, and action plans. Through a blend of expert guidance, practical tools, and peer networking, participants will gain the confidence and knowledge to lead on safe and ethical AI use in your setting. With a duration of 4-5 hours and 12 months of ongoing support, SAIL offers exceptional value and flexibility.

This week, Manor Fields Primary School in Bishop’s Stortford welcomed a special guest; the Minister for School Standards in the Department for Education, Catherine McKinnell MP. The visit showcased the positive impact of the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, delivered by Educational and Sporting Futures (ESF), on school staff and pupils.
Teaching assistants have the opportunity to build close bonds with the pupils they support and play a highly significant role in shaping their experience of learning. In this article, we take a look at how TAs can provide the best support to dyslexic pupils, not only in terms of developing reading and writing skills, but also helping to build self-confident, independent learners.
The conference offers the opportunity a to hear expert views and examine current topical issues relating to dyslexia and other SpLDs. You’ll have the chance to listen to our four keynote speakers, who will be providing presentations about morphology, understanding and supporting dyslexia and ADHD, assessing language in adults, and guidance about gathering and interpreting qualitative data during assessments!
