Modules are self-paced, with one-to-one tutor support, an extensive research and resource library and discussion tasks that connect you with peers in our online learning community.
Since 2010 we’ve supported over 5,000 delegates to achieve their postgraduate degrees.

“When OFSTED last came to inspect us they were very complimentary and commented that everything that had been done was very well researched. This is all down to my master’s study. I’ve also helped bring other members of my team along with me. It’s not just me building my career, but it’s supporting those around me to be the best that they can be as well.”
Darleen Grimsby – Trust SENDCo and Inclusion Officer, UK
“A friend recommended Real Training to me. I was interested in doing an MEd in SEND and had already checked out a number of universities. I chose Real Training because I liked the practical aspects of the courses offered. I wanted to be able to apply my learning directly within a teaching context.”
Celia Mascher – SENCO, Kenya“Studying with Real Training has helped my career and my professional development immensely. I haven’t found anything else that comes close and everyone I speak to has said the same. If you’ve done any level of special needs qualifications – it’s with Real Training.“
Stephanie Evans – SENCO, Bangkok Patana School

How will I benefit?
We believe that the best learning happens when expertise meets experience. Here is why thousands of education professionals choose to study with us:
Communities of Practice: Learning is never one-directional. You will join a vibrant community where knowledge is shared between yourself, your school, and other settings, all guided by our experts.
Expert Design & Tutorship: Our programmes are designed and led by experienced educational psychologists and senior SEND experts. Many of our tutors still practice in schools daily, keeping their knowledge current and relevant.
Total Flexibility: All learning takes place online via Campus Online, our highly-rated in-house platform. You can set your own study schedule, meaning you don’t have to be away from the classroom for long periods.
Immediate Impact: Because our learning is practice-led, you will complete practical projects that directly benefit your setting from day one.
How long does it take?
It depends. Most delegates tend to complete the programme within 3-5 years. It usually takes a year to complete a module, however some delegates will choose to study 2 modules at a time. It also depends if a delegate has existing credits that they can bring into the programme, for example from our CCET, CPT3A, NASENCO or iSENCO courses.
Delegates may be able to bring in credits they have achieved with another provider. If you think this could apply to you, find out more about Recognition of Prior Learning.
You are able to take breaks between the modules if need be, however, as long as you return to complete the programme within 5 years, your credits will remain valid.
How will I be assessed?
You will need to produce:
- Pre- and post-course self-assessment of skills, knowledge, and confidence.
- Continuous self-evaluation via questionnaires.
- Written contributions to collaborative discussion.
- Activities and submissions which will be evaluated by your tutor.
- Written case studies, projects, reflections and critiques related to the topic of your chosen module.
Where indicated by your tutor, you may submit multimedia resources that you have produced within your applied practice as part of your final portfolio of evidence.
