Postgraduate Certificates

Would you like to better understand your students’ needs, while also gaining a useful qualification? Then why don’t you consider studying a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)?

A PGCert comprises 60 level 7 credits and is available on all of our Masters programmes; SEND and Inclusion, Inclusive Educational Leadership, Autism, Educational Assessment and Pastoral Care.

All our modules are 30 or 60 credits, allowing you to pick and choose which you would prefer to study and specialise in.

Our postgraduate programmes are developed, delivered and assessed by Real Training and are awarded and quality assured by Middlesex University.

Other modules which provide credits include Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) – either as a standalone course or as part of the Certificate in Psychometric Testing, Assessment and Access Arrangements (CPT3A). The Evidence and Pedagogy for Inclusion module is worth 30 credits that can be put towards a PGCert in one of the specialist subjects listed above.

Our 60 credit modules can also be studied in order to achieve a PGCert. Choose from:

Can I later put my credits towards a Masters of Education in SEND?

Yes! You can put your credits from a PGCert towards a higher qualification. You may wish to continue on to achieve a PGDip (120 credits) or MEd (180 credits). Or, if you would like a break from studying, you can exit the programme with your PGCert and rejoin at a later date, provided that you are rejoining within 5 years from when your PGCert was achieved.

A PGCert is made up of 60 credits. Study 60 more credits to achieve a PGDip, however please note that you will need to complete either NASENCO, iSENCO, Leadership of Inclusive Practice, Auditing and Leading Improvement or the Evidence and Pedagogy for Inclusion module as part of your PGDip. When you are ready, build further by taking the 60 credit Enquiry-Based Practice module, to achieve a Masters in SEND and Inclusion or Inclusive Educational Leadership!
